Susan B. Anthony (Presented by Marjorie Goldman) has been portrayed as a dour Quaker “school marm” but in reality this important suffragist has a lively sense of humor. She has spent a career of 50 plus years in support of women’s rights, especially including the right to vote. When the suffragette movement was threatened a few years ago by an ideological split, it was Ms Anthony who united the sides towards renewed energy for the cause. Ms Anthony will entertain us with facts of her life and struggle to obtain the right to vote.
Tickets are limited and are available at Local Roots or at the Society during normal business hours (Tuesday and Friday, 1 – 4)
