Bob Heffner graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. He taught classes, and then sold insurance before attending the Police Academy and becoming a government analyst for the Philadelphia Police Department in the early 1980’s. A colonial actor since 2005, Mr. Heffner has studied with the Walnut Street Theatre and Philly Improv. His passion for historical character interpretation began when he trained with American Historical Theater’s Artistic Director and Playwright, William Sommerfield, researching and rehearsing the character of General Henry Knox.
Mr. Heffner has portrayed Henry Knox in venues that include Fort Ticonderoga, Peddler’s Village’s Cock & Bull Restaurant, and the Society of the Cincinnati’s Mount Gulian.
