“Time Traveler” Dean Bennett was born in Spokane Washington, but has been part of Philadelphia’s cultural scene since the 1960’s with radio jobs in Lansdale and Camden and a position with Channel 48. A lyric baritone on scholarship to Eastern Washington College and a graduate from the Academy of Vocal Arts, Dean Bennett has Equity and SAG cards, along with a 1st class FCC license. A Navy Veteran of the Korean War, Bennett is a talented opera singer married to gifted opera singer and voice teacher Rosemary Passalacqua, and is a proud adoptive parent. Dean Bennett joined American Historical Theatre by auditioning for AHT Artistic Director William Sommerfield in 1984.
Mr. Bennett has performed in venues that include the White House Visitors Center, Vice President Cheney’s house, the Masons of Maryland, City Tavern, Towson University, and the National Archives. As Ambassador for US Air, Dean cut the ribbon to launch the airline’s Philadelphia to France corridor. Dean was also chosen to introduce the new $100 bill at the Department of the Treasury. And Dean Bennett portrayed Ben Franklin in Discovery Channel’s, The Real Ben Franklin.
